El uso de la tecnología para mejorar el cuidado de la salud mental en pacientes oncológicos: una revisión de alcance

Resumen

Este articulo presenta una revisión de alcance sobre evaluación de la aplicación de tecnologías emergentes para el cuidado de la salud mental en pacientes oncológicos; se subraya la importancia del personal de enfermería en su puesta en marcha. La revisión examina la manera en que herramientas como la telemedicina, aplicaciones móviles y realidad virtual han contribuido a la disminución de la ansiedad, la depresión y el estrés en estos pacientes, mediante una intervención constante y personalizada. Se abordan los retos asociados con la implementación de estas tecnologías, incluyendo las disparidades en infraestructura y formación. Además, se sugieren recomendaciones para una implementación efectiva en el ámbito de la atención oncológica, con énfasis en la necesidad de formación especializada para el personal de enfermería. A esto se suma la pertinencia de unas políticas de salud justas. Los hallazgos indican que estas tecnologías tienen la capacidad de potenciar de manera significativa el bienestar emocional de los pacientes, siempre y cuando se superen los obstáculos existentes.
